"Outerbike" To Offer Riders Chance At Demo Bikes

In a move that is sure to appeal  to gear freaks and riders looking for a 2011 ride to buy, Western Spirit Tours announced recently that it will be putting on an outdoor demo for cyclists at the popular hotspot of Moab, Utah. This opportunity to ride will come right on the heels of the cycling industry's big industry only outdoor demo and show, Interbike. The dates of the proposed "Outerbike" will be September 30th to October 3rd.

This is important logistically as the new event will make it very easy for Interbike industry attendees to the Outdoor Demo able to make the short jaunt over to Moab. Already "Outerbike" is saying it has Specialized, Trek, Fox, Pivot, and Turner, amongst other brands, committed to making the demo happen. This will allow riders not connected to the cycling industry a chance to demo 2011 product right after Interbike.

Interbike has traditionally had an outdoor demo of new product for shop owners, employees, media, and cycling industry insiders. It has never had a public day or chance for the general public to ride bikes until Interbike instigated the "Outdoor Demo East" in 2008. The location of the Interbike East venue has been limiting and weather concerns were also a problem for 2009's event.

Western Spirit Tours is a company well versed in putting on top notch events and tours for smaller groups It would seem that the proposed Outerbike will be its biggest undertaking to date. One thing going for the event is the location, which generally is accepted as one of mountain bikes meccas with ample good weather around the proposed dates, generally.

Price to attend the event is $150.00 per person which will include some meals provided for by Western Spirit and discounts for after demo events. See the "Outerbike" website for more information.
